Dr. Vidaurri is ranked among Latin America's most experienced surgeons. He studied medicine at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Monterrey, México and his Ophthalmology residency training at Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem, Israel.

After that, he earned a fellowship in Cornea and Laser Refractive surgery from Harvard University in Boston, MA as well as a fellowship in retina from the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital, School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD.

He has done intensive research in many ophthalmology areas, discovering new ways to treat certain ailments. One of his main discoveries was a new treatment that saves patients with retina detachment and proliferative retinopathy from losing their vision. That amazing job, earned him two of the most desired awards a young ophthalmologist can get: the “Young Investigators Award” and the “Certificate of Merit” offered by the Wilmer Institute at Johns Hopkins University, School of Medicine in 1983.

Dr. Vidaurri is known internationally for his expertise and his innovative ideas on the ophthalmology field. He was one of the first doctors in America who started doing Laser Refractive Surgeries and because of his extensive knowledge, he has trained many ophthalmologists from the U.S., Europe and Asia in the use of Lasik technology.

Dr. Vidaurri is renowned in the Refractive Surgery field and is a frequent speaker at International Symposiums on the subject of Advanced Techniques in Lasik Surgery. His broad experience has lead him to develop and patent several surgical instruments that improve Lasik outcomes, and which are used by surgeons all over the world.

His years of practice have given him knowledge and expertise that enable him to select the perfect candidates for surgery. This adequate selection is crucial to minimize the post operatory complications and increase the chances of success. Thanks to his patented Vidaurri Lasik System, he has obtained 99.9% of success in the Lasik surgeries performed.

He is author and co-author of multiple research projects that have been published in international ophthalmology books and magazines.

Dr. Backhoff studied medicine at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Monterrey, NL, Mexico, and later specialized in ophthalmology at the San Jose Hospital, TEC de Monterrey. She received training in retina and ocular microbiology at the Wilmer Institute at Johns Hopkins University, School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD.

She is a member of the Mexican Ophthalmology Council and the Nuevo León Ophthalmology Society. Right now, she specializes in lasik surgery, cornea transplants, cataract surgery, and pterigion surgery.
 
Dr. Martín Heredia Elizondo M.D.

Dr. Heredia studied medicine at “Ignacio A. Santos ITESM School of Medicine” in Monterrey, NL. He specialized in Ophthalmology and Retina, Macula and Vitreous in the Association for Preventing Blindness at the “Luis Sánchez Bulnes M.D. Hospital” in México City. Later he trained in Retina, Macula and Vitreous at the Storm Eye Institute in the South Carolina University in Charleston, South Carolina.

He was trained in the use of Photodynamic Therapy to treat Age Related Macular Degeneration. He participated in numerous investigations in retina ailments and has taught several classes certified by the APEC and the Storm Eye Institute.
 
Dr. Gabriel M. Garza Martínez M.D.

Dr. Garza is studied medicine at the Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM) Medicine School and did his Ophthalmology residency training at the Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem, Israel.  

He was trained in Cosmetic and Reconstructive Eye Surgery at the Massachussetts Eye and Ear Infirmary Hosptial from Harvard University in Boston, MA.

He is author and coauthor of multiple research projects that have been published in international ophthalmology books and magazines

He currently teaches Plastic Eye Surgery at the ITESM Ignacio A. Santos Medicine School. His classes include the following topics: facial rejuvenation with and without surgery, eyelid reconstruction and lacrimal duct surgery and rehabilitation, eye prothesis adaption, among others.
 
Dra. Carolina Cantú Lee M.D.

Dr. Lee studied medicine and Ophthalmology at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Monterrey, NL, Mexico. She graduated with honors and received the “Mexico`s Best Students” Award from the National Science and Technology Council and the “Waterford Scholarship” from the Rotary Club.

She later did her Pediatric Ophthalmology residency training at the Children´s National Medical Center Hospital from the George Washington University in Washington, DC.

She has colaborated in several research pediatric ophthalmology projects. She is certified by the Mexican Ophthalmology Council and is a certified member of several associations like the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), and the Pediatric Ophthalmology American Association.
 
O.D. Freddy Nacif López

O.D. Naciff studied Optometry at the Superior Medicine School at the National Politecnic Institute.  He specialized in refraction and Contact Lenses.
